작가 Maria Arendt와 Nadia-Adina Rose는 “우리는입술을 읽을 수 있다(We can read lips)” 프로젝트에서 기호, 메시지, 신호와 같이 암호화된
단서들을 통해 우리로 하여금 동물, 식물, 생물, 무생물을 포함하는 환경을 인식하도록 제안한다.
나아가 이 암호화된 단서들은 우리와 접촉하여 언어적인 의미를 넘어선 숭고한 정신적인 영역과 우리를 연결 시키고,
또 그렇게 우리를 발전시킨다.
자연에는 과학으로만 설명될 수 없는 신비한 현상들이 다수 존재한다. 그러한 현상들은 철학자, 신비 주의자,
혹은탐미주의자들에 의해 이해할 수 있으며 더 고양된 사고 - 때로는 재치이기도 하다 -를 불러 일이키기도 한다.

수 놓은 비처럼, 현재 세계 각지에서 기상이변 현상을 보고하고 있다.
이러한 기이한 자연 현상들은 구약 성서 속 ‘출애굽기’와 이집트 사형 집행과도 연관이 있다고 작가는 말한다.
작가 Maria Arendt와 Nadia-Adina Rose 둘다 직물을 이용한 작업을 하지만 활용 방식은 다르다.
작가 Maria는 직물을 자수로 덮는 반면, 작가 Nadi a-Adina 는 그것을 3차원 입체로 만들어 미니멀 한 설치 작업을 진행한다.

Many natural phenomena are so unusual that they cannot be solely explained scientifically, but need to be understood by philosophers, mystics and aesthetes, and give rise to a new reflection on the possibility of a higher reason, and sometimes even a higher wit.
At the moment there are more and more new meanings and associations with world events, such as Maria Arendts embroidered unusual natural phenomena like the Rain of Animals (a rare meteorological phenomenon, noted i n many countries at different times.) finds as sociations with the Book of Exodus and the Egyptian Executions.
